What type of training are you looking for?

Puppy Essentials

It is so exciting when we bring a new puppy home! However, it’s also incredibly overwhelming when it comes to training! Where to start? This 6-week class covers all the essentials you need to get your puppy started on the right paw.

Basic Manners

Teach your dog how to follow the basic cues no matter what the circumstance.  This class allows you to teach your dog to be more focused, attentive, and well-behaved around distractions, while also building towards the Canine Good Citizen test.

Puppy Socials

It is crucial that puppies have plenty of positive experiences from an early age, so that they grow to become well-adjusted adult dogs. Take advantage of this safe, supervised environment for pups to interact with other dogs, people, smells, and textures.

Basic Manners Proofing takes basic cues like sit, down, stay, and come and increases the difficulty level so that dogs consistently respond to those cues and maintain focus on their person under a variety of circumstances:

  1. Over prolonged periods of time
  2. Around distractions
  3. From far distances

We also begin preparations for the Canine Good Citizen test and introduce some of the more challenging concepts of that test including calm interactions around dogs and people as well as calm separation periods.

Please Note: Dogs who have completed Puppy Essentials or who have already learned basic commands such as sit, down, stay, and come are eligible for this class.  Dogs must be on a flat/snap collar, martengale collar, or a harness with a standard leash (no retractable leashes allowed) when arriving to class.  Family members are welcome to attend, but there must be at least one adult present per pup.  Dogs must be up-to-date on Distemper and Bordetella vaccines.
