Emily has years of experience with dog training as well as in-home, phone, and virtual dog behavior consultations to address an array of concerning behaviors. Emily’s goal is to gather as much information as possible about your dog to help create a harmonious home for both you and your dog.

Private Consultations

Private Behavior Consultation: $100/hr
Phone Q&A: $25 (30-minute limit)
Any in-person services provided outside a 30-mile radius from Waukesha includes a $0.50/miles roundtrip travel charge.

Private behavior consultations are a great fit if your dog is displaying problematic behaviors that you are struggling to resolve. Destructive chewing, inappropriate elimination, aggression, and stranger reactivity are all good reasons to recruit Emily to help. After gathering some initial background information on your dog’s habits, Emily will sit down with you for about an hour to go over the information, ask questions, and come up with a behavior plan. Emily does not need to see the problem behavior firsthand, though you are welcome to provide video. These consultations can be done outside, over the phone, or virtually at this time.

Behavior change is a process. Emily recommends follow-up sessions to assure that you are continuing to see progress and to address any concerns that may come up along the way. Each dog is an individual and responds to various interventions differently. It’s important, therefore, to keep in contact and tweak behavior programs to fit the individual dog as needed. Emily will do all she can to check-in and make sure you’re on the right track, and she asks that you keep her notified of any important changes- good or bad!

Complete the consultation questionnaire and Emily will contact you to schedule an appointment.

Private Training

Private Training Session: $90/hr
Private Training Package (Five 30-minute sessions): $200
  • Custom Training Package
  • Walk-and-Train Package
Any in-person services provided outside a 30-mile radius from Waukesha includes a $0.50/miles roundtrip travel charge.

Private training differs from private behavior consultations because this does not address specific problem behaviors. During a private training session, Emily can either train your dog basic cues, or she can instruct you how to train these cues to your dog. These basic cues include: Sit, down, stay, come, etc. This is a good fit if there are no real behavioral issues, but you would simply like to teach your dog a few words.

Specialized training packages are added regularly as they develop. Custom training packages meet your specific training needs. Contact Emily for this option and she will map out your training goals over the course of five weeks, with the option for additional weeks if more in-depth training is needed.

The walk-and-train package includes five 30-minute sessions where, not only will Emily walk your dog, but she will also include training to teach your dog to walk nicely on leash. Detailed summaries are included as well as instructions on how to continue the progress between visits. Retractable leashes, shock collars, choke collars, and prong collars are not allowed. Front-clip harnesses are strongly encouraged. Emily can fit your dog for a harness upon request.

Complete the training registration form and Emily will contact you to schedule sessions.

Puppy Headstart Program

Individual Sessions: $75/hr
Headstart Program Package: $175
Any in-person services provided outside a 30-mile radius from Waukesha includes a $0.50/mile roundtrip travel charge.

Early intervention is the best approach to ending a problem behavior or decreasing the chances of such behaviors ever starting. Raising a well-behaved dog depends heavily on what you do with your puppy in the first few months. It is important to teach your puppy early on that different sounds, people, animals, environments, and objects are safe or, even, enjoyable. Emily will take the work out of this for you by either coming to work with your dog outside your home or by taking your puppy on outings to help with this process. The Puppy Headstart Program package includes 5 half-hour sessions: 3 outings and 2 in-home sessions. While this program cannot guarantee that your puppy will grow into a dog without issues, but it can improve their chances and set them up for success.

Contact Emily to sign up for the Puppy Headstart Program.
